The Path to Her Heart Reviews
Boothe Power is helping his aunt run the boarding house that nurse Emma Spencer lives in. She is attracted to him but has too many responsibilities to marry. Boothe lost his wife due to negligence of a doctor and nurse so he has no use for the medical people. Emma loves his little boy and will do anything for him. Can they overcome their own problems for the sake of Jessie
Emma Spencer falls in love with single father, Boothe Power and his motherless son the moment she lays eyes on them. But Boothe has a big problem. Still mourning the death of his wife at the hands of medical professionals, Boothe believes he cannot trust them to care for his son. He and Emma clash over this difference of opinion when she discovers his young son has an awful cut and he won't allow her to go near it. In spite of his hatred for nurses and doctors, Boothe can't help but fall for the pretty doctor. Then someone threatens to take his son away due to his marital status. Boothe and Emma come up with a plan for Boothe to hold on to his son, but can they keep their hearts out of it?I loved this story! It showed the truth about what anger and unforgiveness can do to a person. I admit that I was a bit uncomfortable with Boothe for a while, but the author helped me warm up to him. The ending was so sweet.
The ultra-religious, trust in God, combined with the Depression Era got to be too much for me. Not my cup of romance.
